Fotona SP Dynamis is an advanced and versatile laser which contains two wavelengths (Erbium 2094nm and long pulse Nd:YAG 1064nm). These can be used in many different combinations but what is unique about the Fotona SP Dynamis is that both these wavelengths can be delivered with a prolonged gentle delivery time which gently heats the skin. These prolonged delivery times are unique to Fotona and are not available in any other laser in the world. This gentle heating causes immediate tightening of the collagen as well as switching on new collagen production for several weeks. The plasma contains white blood cells and platelets, which are rich in growth factors. Neuromodulator (not a dermal filler) is a temporarily relax specific muscles by blocking the nerve impulses. It is approved by Health Canada, and has a 30 year safety record.

What happens?

What to Expect?
After a free consultation, clients can proceed with booking a laser treatment date. On the day of the treatment, you will be given a topical numbing cream to minimize any discomfort, and help to provide your skin a minimally invasive experience. Most can resume their regular activities immediately following the treatment. Following the 2D Skin Resurfacing your skin will take about 3 to 5 days to rejuvenate, heal and resurface. Once the acne scars are removed, the results are permanent.

Is This the Right Treatment For You?
2D Skin Resurfacing is for those wanting to treat permanent acne scarring and texture issues. NEA Medical Aesthetic Clinic recommends anyone who has used the drug, Accutane, should wait 6 months after discontinuing before scheduling any laser treatments. Accutane has been known to cause scarring and interfere with laser treatments.
ZO Stimulator Peel is considered to be the perfect “lunchtime” peel with no downtime. This peel is made up of a combination of lactic, citric and salicylic acid used to exfoliate the skin, while stimulating the growth of collagen and elastin. This is peel is suitable for any skin type and color.

What to Expect?
3-4 days Before Your Facial Peel Treatment
Discontinue the use of topical retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, benzoyl peroxide, retinol and other potentially irritating products.
IMPORTANT:
If you have had any procedure such as IPL, laser or microdermabrasion, avoid having a peel treatment until your skin has completely healed.
After Your Facial Peel
Don’t panic! Redness, stinging, itching, tightness, mild swelling, flaking, and peeling, are all normal reactions following a peel. The severity of these responses varies for each individual.
Exfoliation generally will start 2-3 days after treatment and ends by approximately day 5.
Avoid rubbing, scratching or peeling/picking the skin with your fingers while healing
For at least 7 to 10 days following the peel, avoid direct sun exposure to best allow your skin to fully heal. If at any time throughout the healing process direct sun exposure cannot be avoided, use a broad spectrum SPF 50 sun protection, as necessary. Apply very lightly and gently to avoid premature exfoliation.
Do not use alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, benzoyl peroxide, retinoids and other potentially irritating products until the skin has fully healed.
You should also avoid running water directly on your face while showering for 24 hours
Avoid strenuous exercise and consequent sweating until the skin has completely healed.
Do not have any other procedures such as facials, hair removal, microdermabrasion and lasers until the skin has fully healed.
Once your skin has healed, return to the daily skin care program your medical aesthetician or physician would have recommended.

3-4 days Before Your Facial Peel Treatment
Discontinue the use of topical retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, benzoyl peroxide, retinol and other potentially irritating products.
IMPORTANT:
If you have had any procedure such as IPL, laser or microdermabrasion, avoid having a peel treatment until your skin has completely healed.
After Your Facial Peel
Don’t panic! Redness, stinging, itching, tightness, mild swelling, flaking, and peeling, are all normal reactions following a peel. The severity of these responses varies for each individual.
Exfoliation generally will start 2-3 days after treatment and ends by approximately day 5.
Avoid rubbing, scratching or peeling/picking the skin with your fingers while healing
For at least 7 to 10 days following the peel, avoid direct sun exposure to best allow your skin to fully heal. If at any time throughout the healing process direct sun exposure cannot be avoided, use a broad spectrum SPF 50 sun protection, as necessary. Apply very lightly and gently to avoid premature exfoliation.
Do not use alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, benzoyl peroxide, retinoids and other potentially irritating products until the skin has fully healed.
You should also avoid running water directly on your face while showering for 24 hours
Avoid strenuous exercise and consequent sweating until the skin has completely healed.
Do not have any other procedures such as facials, hair removal, microdermabrasion and lasers until the skin has fully healed.
Once your skin has healed, return to the daily skin care program your medical aesthetician or physician would have recommended.

Fungal Nail Infection/Fungus

It is a simple and effective procedure that uses the power of ND: YAG laser light to heat evenly throughout the depth of the affected nail and skin tissue, effectively weakening and killing parasitic fungi which have infected the patient’s nails.
The most common cause of onychomycosis is dermatophyte fungus that invades the dead tissue of skin or nails. Other causes include contact with certain moulds or species of yeasts. The overall prevalence of onychomycosis ranges from 2 to 14 percent of the population. Onychomycosis is caused by contact with infective fungal agents. Since these agents are present everywhere in our environment, everyone potentially is at risk for infection. Common sources for infection could include public showers, swimming pools, nail spas and gyms. Nail trauma and tight fitting shoes can also lead to infection.
Three Simple Steps
Step 1
File down the Nail. During onychomycosis the nail will become deformed and overgrown, it may also thicken. Filing down the nail allows laser light to fully penetrate into the treatment site.
Step 2
Administer Nd:YAG laser pulses in a circular pattern covering the entire nail. Slightly overlap the beam so that the nail is fully covered. The patient should feel a slight heating sensation throughout the nail.
Step 3
Target Nd:YAG laser pulses around the perimeter of the nail bed and around the finger or toe. Often parasitic fungus has worked its way beyond the nail bed and needs to be eliminated in all the tissue surrounding the nail to prevent recurrence.
The treatment involves passing a laser beam over the infected nail and surrounding tissue, resulting in a photo-thermal heating effect that weakens and kills the fungi that cause the infection. A single treatment usually takes about 45 minutes to treat 10 nails. You may feel a heating sensation during the treatment, however you can leave immediately after the procedure and resume your daily routine. You could also experience some slight discolouration of the nail after the treatment.
Results
Improvement may be seen after a single session, however best results are typically achieved through a series of 3-4 treatments. Successful treatment will result in the growth of a new, healthy nail. However it could take up to 1 year to see an entirely clear nail, depending on the rate of growth.

Three Simple Steps
Step 1
File down the Nail. During onychomycosis the nail will become deformed and overgrown, it may also thicken. Filing down the nail allows laser light to fully penetrate into the treatment site.
Step 2
Administer Nd:YAG laser pulses in a circular pattern covering the entire nail. Slightly overlap the beam so that the nail is fully covered. The patient should feel a slight heating sensation throughout the nail.
Step 3
Target Nd:YAG laser pulses around the perimeter of the nail bed and around the finger or toe. Often parasitic fungus has worked its way beyond the nail bed and needs to be eliminated in all the tissue surrounding the nail to prevent recurrence.
The treatment involves passing a laser beam over the infected nail and surrounding tissue, resulting in a photo-thermal heating effect that weakens and kills the fungi that cause the infection. A single treatment usually takes about 45 minutes to treat 10 nails. You may feel a heating sensation during the treatment, however you can leave immediately after the procedure and resume your daily routine. You could also experience some slight discolouration of the nail after the treatment.
Results
Improvement may be seen after a single session, however best results are typically achieved through a series of 3-4 treatments. Successful treatment will result in the growth of a new, healthy nail. However it could take up to 1 year to see an entirely clear nail, depending on the rate of growth.
